The Federation of Thai Industries and IMPACT Exhibition Management joined force in holding “Beyond Beauty ASEAN-Bangkok 2017” to respond to the growth of beauty market valued 2.8 trillion Baht
Bangkok, Thailand, 28 March 2017 – Co-organized by the Federation of Thai Industries, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. and Informa Exhibitions, Beyond Beauty ASEAN-Bangkok 2017 (“BBAB 2017”) is the most comprehensive platform for ASEAN beauty industry, with a total exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. The exhibition is held in respond to the beauty and cosmetics markets valued at approximately 2.8 trillion Baht, which growing valueis ranked as the top 10 adverse global economic growth during the next three-to five years. BBAB 2017 is held in 21-23 September 2017, at IMPACT Challenger 3. More than 1,500 leading brandsare showcasing their latest innovations and more than 20,000 trade visitors are expected to throng the hall. In addition, there will be 2,000 scheduledinternational business meetings, expected to create more than US$50 million or around 1,750 million Bahtwithin the three exhibition days.

Moreover, it also focuses on an establishment of knowledge, technology and innovation of Thai industries, particularly the small and medium enterprises (SMEs)to strongly compete internationallyasthe competition is more intense this year due to the opening of the ASEAN community. The Federation believes that BBAB 2017 is one of the key channels that drives the government’s main policy in encouraging SMEs and develop Thai manufacturers’ potential to be able to compete on aregional level.”
Mrs. Ketmanee Lertkitcha, Deputy Secretary – Genaral and Chair of CosmeticsIndustry Group, The Federation of Thai Industriesstated that “The global beauty industry is steadily growing due tothe increase in purchasing power of the working class. Consequently, health and beauty consumer goods have become more popular. At present,the Thai health andbeauty business clusters at valued at2.8 billion Baht, of which 60% belongs to the Thai market, valued at 1.68 billion Baht. On the global stage, Thailand is ranked as the 17thmost important manufacturer and exporter of cosmetics and number one in ASEAN.”
Mr. Tanawat Ruangteprat, Director, Thailand Institute of Fashion Research (inFASH) stated that “inFASH is a member of ‘Intercolor,’ the organizer of INTERCOLOR conference – a stage for the world’s leading countries in designing, to gather and forecast trends and color for future design. The conference is being held 24 months prior to the release of products in the market as an approach and inspiration for designing in various industries, including textile, cosmetics, house decoration, automotive, construction material, furniture and electronic products. Since inFASH is under the administration of public university, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, its knowledge is crucial for “Beyond Beauty Trends Conference” in providing knowledge related to color, material and future trends from specialists and professional within fashion and beauty industries.
