The Thai Packaging Association was approved by the Commerce Department to initiate the association on December 26, 1969. Formerly it had the English name as The Thai Packaging Association or T.P.A. After that, the Japan Packaging Institute was informed they then established The ASIAN Packaging Federation and invited Thai association to join. Meanwhile Thai side did not have enough funds in interacting with on international scale, The Industry Supporting Department decided that, the design center should be a member of ASIAN Packaging Federation for that time being, where any activities have to work parallel with the association e.g. The ASIAN Packaging Award that Thais was one of the award winner, and also won The world Packaging Organization Award, London. October 1987 the name changed to “The Thai Packaging Association” and located at the current address, 30 years of closed corporative between the government sector and private sector under the support of business, industrialist. The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) was inaugurated by the National Research Council Act B.E.2502 (1959) and was designated by the Cabinet as the national body responsible for the implementation of research related matters. The NRCT is also assigned to give comments to the Prime Minister when requested.The administrative body of the NRCT consists of three parts; the first one is the National Research Council chaired by Prime Minister, with Deputy Prime Ministers as Vice Chairmen, and Ministers are Deputy Ministers as Advisors; the second one is the National Research Council Executive Board; and the last body is the Office of the National Research Council of Thailand headed by Secretary-General. As Samui reputation a health destination has grown, the need to define what a spa really is, and what guests should expect from one, has resulted in an island association of spas. For its first task as an organization, it focused on training to successfully complete professionally designed courses in Thai massage and other popular spa treatments. The organization has also promoted and support spas of Samui on appropriate standards accordingly the government’s policy.
